In certain matters a 12 years old does not have a choice; and if Barkin wanted to stop his 12 year old daughter from having an abortion, you would agree. :)

Ah, but the 12-year old does have a choice, when she wants to choose to have an abortion. Parental consent is not required for a minor's abortion. A girl can't get her ears pierced without telling her parent or guardian, but she can have her baby's head ripped off, no problem.

Twelve year-olds also have the choice to refrain from engaging in premarital sex. And before anyone shouts \"rape\" let\'s be honest, most teenage pregnancies are not due to rape. They are due to children choosing to have sex. There are consequences for actions, and if Ms. Barkin doesn\'t want a pregnant daughter she should teach her that engaging in sex can have serious consequences. This whole charade of \"they\'re going to do it anyway\" is foolish at best and destroys lives at worst. Teach your children correctly and this won\'t happen to you.
