but this piece on a member of my spiritual family isn't half-bad, although it doesn't mention his status as a Secular Oratorian. (They seldom do... sigh... At least they did mention that his spiritual director was an Oratorian...)

Ah, yes... "nesciri". Necessary, and so hard to follow !
I'm ambivalent about his architechture as well, but then I'm not particularly conversant with it. ( I do know an ugly building when I see it- like the parish church my mom attends...shudder...)
